 Deathly Hallows: Book Discussion

This thread is for the discussion of the final Harry Potter book.

To start, what was the point of Hedwig dying? She was his only tie to the wizarding world when he was trapped in Privet Drive, and she was his first true friend.
Come on, JK, why?!

Then Fred died. Fred and George kept the entire series lighthearted. They were the comic relief. He need not have died.

Tonks and Lupin...
Don't even get me started. Their death was obscenely dishonorable. She could have at least took the time to write it out for such prominent characters.

Ron Weasely: could he have been a bigger ass? Draco is crying over his friend, practically hysterical, and his response is a harsh, "He's dead".
Then there's self righteous Harry Potter using unforgivable curses whenever the opportunity presents itself.
