Adrienne smiled sadly, and once she realized it became apathetic. "The truth is you broke my heart once," she replied, keeping her voice as toneless as possible. More than once. "And besides that, you don't want to go out with me. I'm unstable, and I don't think I could ever love someone again. Glad you're not dead, that would be a pity," she commented dryly, then turned around but couldn't seem to find it in herself to walk away just yet.

Sebastian just looked at her, Absorbing the information she gave him, But something just didn't add up.
Glad you're not dead that would be a pity..
The words shook through him, his heart burned a little and he didn't know why.
"Are you still in love with me?"
His black eyes slanted lazily, As if already sure of the answer.

Adrienne's eyes narrowed as her hand found the knob, and she turned her head so she could see him from the corner of her eye. "Depends on my mood," she replied harshly. "But, unfortunately, that's the last inch of me that hasn't died...yet." She smiled coldly, surprised at herself for not lying to him.
Oh, it would all be fine and well...
She would just cover it up later, blame it on the poison in his bloodstream, or whatever was happening in his brain that was causing his memory to malfunction. With one last look over her shoulder and a chilling smile, she left the hospital wing.

Sebastian sat there, Paused for a moment and then suddenly stood, "I think somewhere, I'm in love with you."
The words he spoke were not his own, Since he didn't even know this girl, Didn't he?
He looked at her, In the unusual beauty that was her, The cold heart that only loved him, His dangerous baby.
"Adrienne, Don't go."
He didn't care how unstable she was, He wanted her, To hold her and have her back in his arms to take away everything.
"I think this is yours." He said holding up a ring, The very same ring he had thrown in the lake, "It was left on my night table, I thought it might be yours." He smiled.
He remembered her name, The way she smelled, The way she kissed him and the way he fucked everything up.
"I love you Adrienne Alste."
Now all he needed was to remember his own name.

Adrienne paused, the door open and the knob still in her grasp, and it only took a moment for her to decide to stay.
She turned back around and smiled, more to give herself something to do than anything else, and it did not reach her eyes. Her smile never seemed to reach her eyes anymore, but rather than them looking cold during this moment, they just looked sad. "You're only saying that, Adams, because you've forgotten who you are."
Her hands were clasped tightly around the wood frame for the door, something to prevent the pain from showing upon her face, and she finally took a breath and strode forward. She gently eased him back to the bed. "You should be resting, moron. You're not well," she replied, only looking in his eyes to avert her gaze from the ring, but then again, it was only more painful to look at him. She snorted derisively, and looked away, to the side and down at the ground. "Yeah, I love you too, but you really have to let this go. You're not in a right state of mind." Not that you're ever in a right state of mind, she thought to herself dryly.
"Do you really want to be filled in about your life now, or is ignorance bliss?" she asked tauntingly, a playful smile on her lips, but it still hurt to look at him, and even more so that he didn't even know who he was; if he did, he would just rub the breakup in her face one more time, and she would have to pretend she stopped loving him a long time ago.
