Adrienne stood up from the bench, rewrapping her pastry as she hadn't touched it and slipped it into her bag. She walked around to face him and placed her hand along the edge of his jaw, guiding his face up. Leaning down she kissed him and after a moment she broke away. "I know you weren't laughing at me," she muttered softly, her eyes dancing wickedly. I thought I made it clear that I wasn't naive enough to believe that, she thought to herself, her eyes shifting to something troubled for only a fraction of a second.

Sebastian looked at her with an emotionless face, "Something wrong?" He asked evenly, He grabbed her hand, "I will prove it too you Adrienne because words are never enough." He frowned, He was going to corrupt this girl who wasn't exactly good but not evil and turn her into a monster like himself. He was tempted to push her away and walk off but then something hard slapped him across his face, It brought him back to his senses and he knew that he would have to do it to keep her. He would have her, Finally.

Adrienne's facial expression looked as lost as she felt, something which did not happen often. "What do you mean?" she asked curiously, and suddenly remembered the old saying 'curiousity killed the cat'. She was traipsing into her own funeral, her head held high with pride and her soul filled with an unbalanced mix of defiance and something else. Then again, it was something she had been doing all along. Every one of her actions had led to every moment that could have ever been her downfall, and in that one instant she nearly scoffed at herself for having ever doubted there was a force such as fate.

Sebastian smiled and quickly tried to play the innocent card, "What ever do you mean?" He asked her, He put his sunglasses back on and headed back to the hotel, Surely Carrie would let him know where to meet up at, He smirked as he looked at the darkness, It made him happy again. He brought his wand out but kept it hidden in the pocket of his jeans. "Won't be long now.." He mumbled to himself..
He continued walking the road and glanced at Adrienne while they walked, "Scared?" He teased with a grin on his face.

Adrienne stood still in front of him, crossing her arms as she turned around to block his path, if only for a moment. "I'm serious, what's up?" she repeated, her curiousity now the better of her, but her resentment of walking into the unknown just a little bit greater.

Sebastian sighed, "If you must know." He said frowning slightly, He looked at the ground and kicked a rock away from his sight. "I didn't know how you would react to this sort of meeting, I mean we are special people that are gathering so that we may actually stand a chance against those people that want us dead." He said coldly, "All we want is peace and a place that we can all live without being killed for what we are." He leaned into her, "Haven't I already explained this enough?" He whispered into her ear, "Now can we continue our journey or do you have to use the restroom or something else equally dull?"

Adrienne glared at him, feeling slightly snubbed, but recovered quickly. "Yes. Let's continue our journey," she replied, her words meant to mock and doing it well, though she supposed it was a little irrational. She felt herself believing him even though she doubted she should, which may have been cause for her ill turn of mood. She stood aside to let him pass and then lead her, glaring down in front of where she placed her feet.

Sebastian laughed at her as he walked, "Shame on you my dear, Acting like a three year old will get you no where." He grinned as he looked back every so often to make sure she didn't attack him from behind or maybe it was to see if she was following. "I'm sure we will see no one that we know here." He lied trying to reassure her, He wasn't sure if she would be pleased if she saw Maegan or Carrie. He saw the hotel up ahead and smiled, "Race you there." He said switching his walking to a pleasant sprint.

Adrienne shook her head and jogged after him, stopping short just behind as he would have already won. She continued to the hotel door, skipping in front of him and getting to the handle before he did. She opened it and stepped inside.

Adrienne felt the cold night air wash over her face and a feeling of relief rushed through her. It had begun to drizzle in the time they had been in the club. BloodLust. If Evyna knew that Adrienne actually went in there she would have yet another reason to kill her all over again. ....Not that Evyna herself never went there. She took a breath before speaking. "Am I okay?" she started, her voice soft but she could not repress the hysteria from finding its way in. "I just saw an innocent mortal have her wrists slashed, no I'm not okay." Her soft blue eyes were hard with fright and had a sheen to them as if she was trying her best not to cry. She turned her face up to look into his, trying to keep herself expressionless.

Sebastian looked at her, His face emotionless. "It was wrong of me to bring you there.."He said trying to cover the amusement in his voice. "Would you understand if I told you that, I never intended for this happen?" He asked shrugging of his jacket and handing it to her, "Wouldn't want you to get sick."He stated feeling the rain fall through his blonde hair making it damp.

Adrienne turned away from him, not taking his jacket, her eyes becoming distant. "I'm already sick," she replied coldly, beginning to walk in the opposite direction of the hotel. Whether he followed her or not was of no concern to her, though she would have preferred to be alone if she were to break down in tears. The drizzle turned into standard size rain drops, drenching her pink hair and darkening it with wetness. The water ran down her shoulders and she remembered how much she liked the rain, a welcome change from the inside of the club. It was clean, cold, and pure.

Sebastian watched her and slowly traveled behind her, Making sure there was enough distance between them he slipped on his jacket and carefully kept an eye on her, Hopefully she would run away, He was not in the mood to run, Nor did he actually feel like it. "I'm sorry." He mumbled knowing full well she wouldn't hear him.

Adrienne turned around, a pause on her anger and fear and sadness. She raised an eyebrow as a thought struck her. "Have you ever seen fire in the rain?" she asked curiously, what must have seemingly been an odd question.

Sebastian shook his head, "Show me." He said looking at her, He began to walk closer but stopped a few feet away. "I know you can do it." He said gently.

Adrienne smiled slightly, though her eyes were still relatively distant. She gently took his wrist in her hand and guided him to a secluded spot on the edge of the park. No one seemed to want to be out in the rain. Turning her back to the street she opened her palms, cupping them together as a flame danced in between them. All she had to do was focus on keeping it going... The flame seemed to spark and sizzle the rain, defying nature as effortlessly as a human taking a breath. With every raindrop the pyrokinetic flame shifted to blue for a moment. She smirked as she looked at Sebastian. "You know, I used to wish I had been a hydrokinetic instead of a pyro when I was younger," she mused thoughtfully. "Evy used to say the fire suited my temper better."

Sebastian's eyes were fixed on the fire, "Amazing." He said before meeting her eyes. "You are lucky to have been blessed with your talent." He running a hand through her wet hair, "Sometimes,I wish I could freeze time and just live in a certain moment forever." He said moving away and turning his back to her, "I wish that I was normal, That I could actually love someone who loved me the same." He closed his eyes and rubbed his fingers into his temple. "You deserve to be loved, Adrienne." He was becoming aggravated with himself for sounding so weak. "Know that I desire you with everything that I am."

The second that Adrienne's power ceased to fuel the little flame it was snuffed out by the rain. Her fingers brushed along his shoulder, the motion consoling without a conscious thought to do so before she did it. She withdrew her hand and looked down at the rain-soaked street which shimmered under the street lights. Far off she heard the beep of horns and the shriek of subway brakes. "It's not the same. You know that," she mused quietly. She wished she could have left him and kept it as a clean break. That she never came back to him. She knew there was nothing she could have done to prevent it. "But then again you would hurt me just the same." She walked up to the metal fence surrounding the park, her hands enclosing over the damp, cold metal. She hung her head, staring at the beads of water forming on the chipping black paint and then running together into little streams. She turned to him, her eyes searching for his though his were still partially out of view. "Then why don't we? Freeze this moment, I mean. Just for a bit longer."

Sebastian leaned against the fence next to her and became silent, He watched her and studied her face, He had never noticed how stunning her eyes were against her skin. The water fell across his face as he looked back out in the distance and listened to the sounds of the city. He looked up at the sky and watched as the rain hit him, He closed his eyes and stayed motionless.

Adrienne watched him for a moment longer, feeling the sudden urge to dance in the rain but had the irrational inhibition that it may disrupt the moment he was preserving. She looked down at the puddles forming on the sidewalk, then up at the sky as the rain fell, her attention then shifting to the buildings glistening under the city lights from the rain. "Have we been frozen long enough?" she asked brightly, squinting her eyes as a gust of wind sent a sheet of rain towards her face, sending her halfway into a fit of giggles, which she fought down hopelessly.
