Enter the grounds to see a spacious property with ten foot walls surrounding the perimeter. The grounds are generally well-kept, but, for the most part, empty. A few trees are scattered across the property, but no actual landscaping done.
Inside the house, you will see something that one might find on the set of a horror movie. You first enter a large hall, funished with antiques, morbid tapestries adorning the walls. To the right is a winding staircase, crafted of metal and hardly stable to walk up. Straight ahead is a dark and narrow hallway, candles lighting the sides of the walls.
To the left, there is a single door. This door remains constantly locked. Behind it is another staircase, this time leading downward to the basements. There you will find dungeons, some no longer in use, others sometimes occupied. It is here that the true horrors of the house lie, hidden behind the locked door and charmed to only allow certain people entry.
The rest of the house is furnished with similarly, all of which hold an air of wealth, as well as unwelcoming. Violent pictures adorn every room except one, the room belonging to Damien.
Damien's bedroom is painted a simple dark red, nearly black. Black carpet covers the floors and a large bed sits in the middle of the room. An antique desk is pushed up against one wall, where a small desk lamp sits. This lamp is the only source of light for the entire room. A small window is on the adjacent wall, covered with thick black curtains, preventing any light from entering. Beside the window is a massive bookcase. The books on the shelf vary greatly, ranging from books on the dark arts to muggle romance novels.

Damien entered his home, weeks after summer had originally started. He spent the past few weeks wandering the country at random, searching for something to distract him from thoughts of Priscilla. Sadly, nothing he found was able to do that, so he just spent his time wandering the country in a state of depression.
Damien stepped inside the grounds, seeing that nothing at his house had changed at all during the previous year. He let out a sigh, wishing to be away from his home, but he lacked the money to do so. He stepped inside the house, looking around. He glanced quickly at the door on his left and then turned away. His father was most likely down there and he had no intention of bother him.
Sadly, he was mistaken. A few steps up the staircase and he saw his father appear from down the hallway. "You're home," the man pointed out. Damien nodded, continuing to walk up the stairs. "Where have you been?"
Damien paused in his walking once more, turning to look at Xavier. "Wandering," he replied.
Xavier just stared. "Wandering where?" he asked.
"Why do you care? I'm sure you're having plenty of fun here without me, torturing random people and all," Damien bit back, resuming his journey up the stairs and to his bedroom. He heard Xavier's shouts, but ignored them. Then he heard a door slam; Xavier was back in the dungeons.
Damien nodded at this note and entered his bedroom, throwing his trunk aside and laying down on his bed. He looked around in boredom and quickly searched for something to do in order to prevent his thoughts from wandering. He settled on reading. He grabbed the first book he saw, not even bothering to look at the title and sat down at his desk, opening the first page and beginning.

Theo stood on the outside of the house, and knocked on the door. The house brought an odd feeling to him, but he ignored it. He had his knives. They were hidden, but he had them. He had absolutely no idea what to say, and knew it would most likely be a little blunt and straightforward, maybe too much so.

The deep ring of the doorbell resonated through the house, shaking Damien out of his reading. He looked up, but made no movement towards the door. He then resumed his book, clenching his jaw slightly in annoyance.
Xavier looked up from his "work" in the dungeons at the sound of the bell. He set down the instrument he was currently cleaning and moved to make his way back up the stairs. He answered the door and saw a kid about Damien's age standing there. He instantly grinned, in a slightly creepy and murderous way. "Oh, hello. How may I help you? Are you one of the children from the neighboring houses? The nice, normal children?" he asked. His mind was racing with what he could do to this obviously nonmagic child. He just hoped the kid wasn't too important. That might get him into some trouble.

Theo glanced at him briefly, understanding that the first impression he had given to the man was completely and utterly misguided and wrong. "Normal would be debatable, wouldn't it?" he began, his eyes narrowing, but he continued. "Nice is a definite no, though." He found it much harder to be polite after dealing with Porcelain. Idiots tended to wear down his nerves.

Xaviers spirits fell drastically when he realized the boy wasn't an innocent nonmagical child from the nearby houses. "Oh, you're not nonmagical, are you? I'm guessing your here for Damien then. Surprising, I didn't think he knew how to socialize with people," Xavier said. Then he stepped away from the door and beckoned Theo inside.
Then an idea came to him. "Would you like a tour of the house? We have a lovely basement," Xavier said, heading towards the basement door.
Damien head Xaviers voice as he spoke to the guest, inviting them into the basement. He sighed, getting up and heading towards the door. He at least wanted to see who Xavier was talking to before he let him kill the person. When he reached the top of the spiral staircase, he saw Theo standing outside. 'What the hell is he doing here?' he thought, staring at him in confusion.
Then he started to make his way down the stairs. "Leave him alone, Xavier," he commanded, his voice harsh. As much as he didn't care about Theo, he would rather not have him killed. He wasn't a very big fan of murder for no reason, especially since that would be what happened to his darling Priscilla. But oh no, Damien wasn't bitter at all. He's just perfectly optimistic.

Theo looked at Xavier, fully resisting the urge of asking him if he had consumed a large quantity of illegal substances within the past 12 hours. Yes, because he was such a fan of touring basements. Especially those of creepy old men. He looked up at the sound of the other boy's voice, mildly surprised that he had already known he was here. Or maybe he hadn't. Maybe he had just been walking down the staircase. "Hello Damien," he greeted as politely as he could manage, not being a polite person in the lightest and not well practiced in political correctness.

Xavier glared at both children, saying "I was only going to give him a tour. He would have made it out alive." Then he turned and yanked open the door to the basement and stormed down it, slightly annoyed that his stupid child who wasn't even his was taking away his playthings.
Damien rolled his eyes as Xavier disappeared. Then he looked at THeo questioningly. "And you're here because?" he asked.

Theo crossed his arms over his chest. They had never even spoken before- how did he get stuck with this again? "We have reason to believe that a dark organization of a sort is gathering members from the Academy," he started, waiting for a response from Damien before he went any further. He needed to know if he should just walk out and leave now.

Damien started to walk up the stairs and entered his bedroom, expecting Theo to follow him. "Okay, a dark organization, why do I care?" he asked.

Theo began to follow him, sighing a little in frusteration as he searched for words. "Because they torture and kill people to get what they want. They feed them lies and brainwash them," he stated, a little bluntly but also a little carefully as well.

Damien just stared at him blankly. "That sounds like just about everyone at the school. You didn't seem to exactly be against torture last year when you were randomly fighting people," Damien said.
He really was just being difficult, but it was amusing him slightly. He figured that he would join this thing at some point, he just wanted to see if he could get something out of it. Yeah, torture and all that was bad, but he really wouldn't care if some evil society took over the school.

Theo rolled his eyes again, his eyes narrowing at Damien. "That was different." No it wasn't. "I happen to like free will, dunno about you." He scoffed, shaking his head as he stretched his arms over his head, and then they resumed their position crossed over his chest. "Okay. We need a spy. We were assuming they would go after you as well. They wouldn't suspect you to be a part of anything Porcelain or I started, we never exactly associate."

Damien stared at him blankly, considering it this time. He had already decided to join, but spying was an entirely different story. He wasn't a big fan of risking his life for anything, let alone a cause he didn't care about. "So, you want me to risk my life to help you stop these crazy people from torturing you, when I could easily join them and be the one torturing you? Why exactly would I do this now?"

"Torture me? Not what I was getting at. I don't think you spying would keep them from doing it, I daresay they would do it for fun anyway. If that's a no, then fine. I don't really care. It was just a proposition. I'm sure we could find some sort of compensation for you, but I have absolutely no idea what you would want."

Damien thought for a second about what he would want out of this agreement. "Well, what exactly would you be able to give me? I mean, I'm leaving the school in like a year and I don't really need any money, I can just steal that from Xavier. I don't exactly need protection, I can get that on my own, and I really don't care about the lives of others or anyone else. So, you might want to come up with something that I would want if you want me to consider joining."

Theo suppressed a growl. He hated being the one to have to convince another. He rather liked being in the position where he could deny or say no. "Or I could tell you what the 'Association' does. And why we should stop them. They're out to put mortals and witches and wizards in their rightful place, and kill anyone who dares speak against them. I used to be a hunter, I guess I was like that at a time- if in opposite. I'm not anymore, and I was never like Zy. He's one of the more prominent members, and one of the most powerful. He used to hunt as well, and found it repressing. Can you imagine that? Do you have any idea what it's like to kill? He prefers torture and slow killing. If you think that's right and you'll stand aside and let it happen, then I'll leave now," he said, his words weighted. He spoke with finality, poised to turn around. He never usually spoke so much, or so deeply. His demeaner was usually that of complete apathy or mockery.

Damien listened patiently, finding himself convinced to join. Though he really wasn't getting anything out of this, it was a chance to better mankind, help the world and all that pointless stuff. Actually, he was just joining because he wasn't too fond of genocide and happened to value the magical and muggle world quite a bit because without them, he wouldn't be alive. Without nonmagics and witches/wizards, none of the vampires and werewolfs would exist, since they're all created from nonmagics.

Theo watched him for a second silently before he opened his mouth to speak. "So what do you say?"

Damien nodded his head slowly. He realized that he wasn't going to be able to back away from this decision once he made it. He tried to keep a blank expression, but he was exceptionally wary of this deal. He just hoped it didn't result in his death. "I'll do it," he answered slowly.
