Adrienne backed up against the wall, kissing Tristan, knowing she should pull away soon, but she wasn't quite ready to. She finally broke away and smiled coolly. "You should probably go."
"Expecting someone?" he inquired softly, smiling without much humor. Tristan's soft gray eyes suddenly turned harsher. "Oh yes, Adams, right?" he mused, his voice still apathetic, but he didn't even make to let her go, and instead kissed her again. Adrienne complied, more than willingly.

Sebastian walked down the corridor, counting the doors as he walked down the path, his wand out illuminating the walk, he smiled thinking that he would be seeing his Adrienne.
He opened the door and stepped in only to find Adrienne was another man.. He dropped the dozen roses that were in his hand on the ground and slammed the door, locking it from any intrusions. "Is that what you asked me here for? To see your little fuck show with this pathetic excuse?"

Upon hearing the door open again, Adrienne broke away once more, and after Sebastian's angry words, she pulled away from Tristan. Like he had any right after what he put her through... "God, Adams. This is what you wanted. You're really a piece of work," she snapped at him, her eyes on his and away from what he dropped on the floor. She wouldn't- couldn't- feel bad for him. Not after everything he had done. "I'd have hoped you knew me better than that. What would I have to show you up on?"
Tristan smiled coldly at the new arrival. He barely bothered to make conversation with anyone aside from classes, and the occasional...you know. "Pathetic excuse. And that would be in comparison to whom?"

Sebastian merely ignored the one who called himself Tristan, he had no need to deal with that fuckwit yet. "Wow, you certainly surprised me Adrie." His body shook from the upset and letdown, this was not what he needed right now. "Thanks, for you know ripping my heart out in half." He looked over to the boy and laughed, then his complexion faded, "Shut the fuck up you piece of shit."

"A bit weak, don't you think? I mean even for a petty insult," he began softly, but his eyes flashed dangerously as he stepped toward Sebastian.
"No!" Adrienne began desperately, standing in between the two. The last thing she needed was the vampire literally ripping him in half. She wheeled on Sebastian. "I was willing to give what you asked for. Don't make it out to be more than what you initially said. Don't you dare blame this on me, Sebastian. You ended it before. Several times. I'm so terribly sorry if I can't even bring myself to acknowledge my heart anymore. You're such a fucking hypocrite that you can say that. I guess you know how I felt now. Each and every time." She was shaking at this point, her eyes darkened with anger, but glossed over with frustrated tears. It was the first time that she had shown any kind of emotion since...well, since then. After it ended for good.
Tristan arched an eyebrow as his smile fell from his face, being replaced by a twisted smirk. "So you go from Adams to Sebastian... He really did hurt you then, didn't he? Do you want me to return the favor?" he asked gently, but it was cutting as he looked at her, and she knew how that was meant. He wanted to punish her, beyond all reason. Why would she go back to a guy like this? Even for something that was barely friendship with something on the side?
"Tristan," Adrienne warned, under her breath, and not making to move out from in between them.

Sebastian looked glum as he frowned at Adrienne, his heart feeling like it was no longer beating. Sadly he looked at Tristan, "Go ahead, I deserve it anyway." He said shrugging off his jacket so it didn't get dirty, "Hit me!" He said walking over to him, "Come on you little bitch, just beat my ass like you want to." He said getting in the boy's face and spitting.

Adrienne wheeled on the two as he walked past her and up to Tristan. "Sebastian, don't fucking do this!" she hissed coldly at him. He was being so stupid.
Tristan's face twisted disturbingly, and he bent his head forward. A shadow was cast over his eyes, but they shown bright beneath it, like a sharper gray form of cats' eyes in the dark. His hand shot forward and gripped Sebastian's throat. "Is it still so easy to talk? Quite frankly, it hasn't done you so much good so far...," he muttered, his tone cruel and amused.

Sebastian made no attempt to move when Tristan moved his hands to his neck, if he were to die so be it. In the past few nights he realized all of his mistakes and learned that he couldn't live with out her. He looked up into the eyes of Tristan and shrugged, "Go ahead." He said in barely a whisper, he would accept his death if it were now.

"Tristan, stop!" Adrienne cried out, tears lining her eyes and looking as though he was hurting her as well. She didn't make a move to physically pull him back, however, and instead stood with her arms crossed over her stomach as if to hold herself together. "You're going to kill him...," she whispered softly, her voice frigid as she attempted to get a grip on herself. Oh, she was going to regret this display of emotion later.
Tristan turned his head to look at Adrienne as he loosened his grip on Sebastian's throat. "No, I'm not," he responded, sure and put together. It was true. If he had wanted to kill the other boy, it would have been all too easy to crush his neck; throat, windpipe, and all. His arm dropped to his side as he smiled at Sebastian, then he lowered his voice so that Adrienne would not be able to hear. "I could make her forget about you. I'm sure you've seen it before; a blood-bond, it's called. She'd turn into something else, but she would still be her, just without the you. You, however, are beyond all hope. That would really kill you, wouldn't it?" he asked, but with the half smile that told he already knew the answer, and the idea did not pull at his heart in the slightest.

Sebastian looked at Adrienne, a shock going through his body at the horror of the thought of her being Tristan's by blood. His stomach made a flip and his blood began to boil. He looked to Adrienne, "Is that how you want to live your life? As something dead? Can you really truly give me up without regretting it?" He stepped back from Tristan and moved over to Adrienne, "Tell me, just tell me Adrienne I will leave you alone forever, never to utter another word again to you. Just tell me who you choose."

"What are you talking about, Adams?" Adrienne responded sourly, backing up and shaking the thoughts that wound their way through her head. I could never really give you up, but every time I try I do regret it. Her blood beat acidicly through her veins, burning through her body with every beat of her shaking heart. "Friends with benefits, Adams. It was your idea. Get the term through that thick skull. I shouldn't have to choose anything. But if you can't handle it, that's your own problem."

"So your okay with this asshole deciding that he will change our relationship just because he's a leech?" Sebastian sighed, "I never thought you'd allow yourself to be controlled like this.." He picked up his jacket and dusted it off, "I chose this as a way to be closer to you, because I still love you." He put it on and looked at the girl he loved. "If you are turned, I will die."
He looked over at Tristan, "Go fuck yourself."

Tristan looked immensely bored as Sebastian walked over to Adrienne and began his pleading. After a loud sigh and a roll of his eyes, he brushed past the two and left the room.
"You know he's not usually like that," she muttered, then stopped, knowing it was useless. Adrienne's eyes rose up to meet his, and she looked suddenly bitter. "How can you even say that?" she responded incredulously. "After everything you said and did. You told me I was useless and that you never cared, and now you're trying to say you still love me." Her voice broke as she said those words, and she wasn't sure if she was on the verge of crying again because she actually cared or because she was just frustrated.

"I did all of that because I didn't want to admit it!" Sebastian said once Tristan has left the room, glad that they were alone. He placed his hand on the dusty desk and looked at her, "I wanted to convince myself that I didn't care so you could be safe." He took a deep breath, "I always will love you Adrienne Alste."

"So I could be safe," she repeated in a breath, skeptically as she looked back up and into his eyes, then back down to the ground. "Unfortunately for the both of us, I'm not the same girl you fell in love with. You successfully killed her, Adams. You'll realize that it's not me that you're in love with anymore, and I wish that didn't hurt me. Really." She began to back away from him, making her way closer to the door.

"No, you're wrong." Sebastian said slightly shaking, "I love you both." He looked over at the door, "Afraid?" He asked with a smirk.

"If I stay," Adrienne began, meeting his gaze and trying with effort to keep her voice from shaking, "If I stay here with you, what will it do? What will it matter? Every time I've ever stayed for you and you promised your love, you've left. Don't even try it with me again. I'm not your game, anymore. I won't be," she continued, then stopped. She scoffed at herself and took another breath. "You'll get over it if you let yourself. Maybe you just need to go snort some coke with Carrie and Maegan."

Sebastian looked at her with disgust, "You don't know anything about me Adrienne, all these months have proved it." He was walked over to the door and opened it, "I don't snort anything anymore, I stopped for you.. But you can't get in it inside that thick skull of yours to understand anything that you don't want to believe."

Adrienne looked at him in shock, but the moment she brought herself back together, she averted his gaze entirely. Whether it was the embarrassment, or anger, or just hormones, she had to do everything in her power to keep from crying. "Just shut up, Sebastian," she mumbled, brushing past him and through the open door, intent on not letting him leave first, but even more focused on not letting him see her cry.
