When everything is made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am. She had come dangerously close to letting him get to know her too well. She should pull away now, and forget everything that had ever happened. I don't want to, she thought to herself, and it aggravated her how young that voice in her head sounded. She pulled away a few inches. "You know, I'm sorry I made you...you probably don't want to dance with me anyway," she let her hands fall to her sides, her voice both earnest and bitter at the same time, "so maybe we should just... stop. I guess."

Sebastian stepped back giving her enough breathing room, And enough so that he was in a comfort zone. He ran a hand through his black hair, When he brought it back he noticed that there was what appeared to be black ink. He grumbled and wiped it on his pants, His hair must have been changing back. He looked up at her, "I should have never done this, I'm sorry." He turned around and went over to a table, He threw his head back on in a motion of anger, His eyes sharp black.

Adrienne followed him, and then turned to look at him. She tried her best to ignore the mask of a head he was wearing. "That's either one of the only times, or the first time you have ever said sorry to me. What is up with you lately?"

Tem smiled... She laid her head on his shoulder as they danced. As they swayed and Theo's head was turned away from hers, she caught Brann's eyes...
Brann was smirking at the couple dancing... how... quaint. He then noticed Tem looking at him. He ran his tongue over his top lip...
Tem burried her head in Theo's neck when she saw Brann licking his lips. Why did he have to be mean to her, why couldn't he just leave her alone... she should tell Theo, but that would have been selfish... Theo was great, but she didn't know what Brann was capable of.

Sebastian shook his head, Unsure of the answer, He wanted to be angry to punch things but he couldn't. It was a complicated thing to explain.. Was it because he loved her so that he forced himself to change? The thought circled in his head before the answer became clear, "I hate you, Don't talk to me." He said simply before looking away.

"Yeah, and your life sucks, you're cursed, the only thing that seems to alleviate your pain is cocaine, blah, blah, blah," she responded, her tone dry but dripping with sarcasm. "You don't have to love me, you don't even have to like me. But, let's get this straight, I wasn't the one who hurt you, and I didn't break up with you. I should be the one hating you, but I don't even care enough for that," she continued, her tone blunt but even and calm. Her lying really had improved dramatically since she had begun dating him.

Sebastian glared at her, How right she was and how wrong he himself was. "Just shut the fuck up." He said in an aggravated tone, He wasn't wrong, No of course not. She was just an uptight bitch. "I am right, I know I am right and I don't need you bringing me down, Miss Gloom and Doom."

"The fact that that might have been the worst comeback to come out of your mouth aside," she began sourly, "you're mistaking me for caring. There's nothing to be right about, Adams. You said you hated me, I said you didn't have a reason to." Adrienne backed up, her hands up in quiet aggravation and a sort of giving up.
Theo arched an eyebrow, his mouth quirked in a sort of smirk. "Tem...is there a reason you are taking refuge in my arm and neck?" he inquired of her, glancing down at the back of the top of her head.

She has been to several schools in her life. This is her fourth, though she only came here because she was bored. She couldn't go back to the same schools that she had graduated since she was too easily recognized. Being vampire, she never aged. It was cool at first, but she always had the Trace on her at the age of sixteen. Couldn't the goddamned bloodsucker keep her human until she was at least seventeen? No, of course not. That would make him merciful.
Lulu hated her thirst. If there was any way to go back to normal witch, she would. Now she was living a cursed life. She had decided that she should come to this Halloween party as some training to her self control. Well, that wasn't working. This was a very...different school. The smell of were-wolves reached her nostrils and she wrinkled them in disgust. How could she have stood the smell before she was changed? It smelled like dog in here. She covered her nose with her hand and walked over to one of the tables nearby and sat down, hand still pressed to her face. She noticed some of the wizards dancing by, and her stomach growled. She tried to let her mind wander somewhere else. She did not want to kill another. Lulu did not kill....on purpose. There was a time when she killed, and that was what made her vow never to do it again.
Her white, silken dress robes fell to her sides and over her legs as she sat down. Her hazel eyes looked over the table. There was much glorious food there, something that would have hungered her before. Not now. The only thing that hungered her now was blood. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind once again, but the stress of being in a room with so many people was unbearable. She pulled out her short, black wand and pressed it against her temple. Some odd words were whispered out of her mouth and her expression went calm. It was then that her wand returned to the inside of her robes.

Carrie took Maegan's hand and tugged, hoping she would get the hint to follow. Her feet weaved their own way through the crowd as she finally came closer to the unfamiliar face. A facade graced her facial expression, complete with a smile that lit up her face, a kind glimmer in her eye. Underneath the superficial visage were contriving thoughts, dark in every aspect. The girl's name was Lucinda, unbeknown to Carrie. Her thoughts and feelings couldn't hide from her; not without practice, and this caused Carrie to smirk to herself, internally and invisibly. “Hello,” Carrie greeted the girl, her voice the epitome of everything welcoming, everything kind. The underlying edge, of course, couldn't be hidden. “I don't believe we've met. Carrie Disclameigh,” she greeted brightly, sizing her up very inconspicuously. She brushed her dark hair behind her ear and readjusted the devil horns which were perched on her head. Her skinny jeans were low rise- the very low rise sort. The shimmery black top clung to her in a sort of way that threatened the dress code, but wasn't cause enough for punishment. She smiled and waved a little when Adrienne's eyes darted to her in an angry gaze from the other side of the room. Then she was sent to keep from snickering as the girl's thoughts became more and more violent. Corrupting the students? she thought to herself, in response to Adrienne's thoughts, though she knew the other girl couldn't hear. Never.

Lulu looked up as a new face came to her. Her hand fell from her face to the girl that was dressed as a devil. How unusual that the devil-dressed girl would come over to the angel-dressed girl. She smelled the other quietly and found she was not a witch, but another vampire like herself. Her ways, she would not know.
No we haven't. I am Lulu. she said, forcing a smile. Lulu was never really good with conversation with other people. She studied the other girl with an interested gaze. She had never seen such hair... it wasn't something that she thought that she would have done to herself. Her golden eyes travelled over the other girl's and over her outfit. Realizing that it might be awkward to have her look at her like that, Lulu looked away, studying the other dancers. She mindlessly picked up a hot cup of tea and brought it to her mouth, but didn't drink. She didn't drink anything but blood, but the smell of the tea was satisfying. The jasmine spice was strong enough to block out the smell of the were-wolves and humans in the crowded room. She inhaled deeply and then set the cup down, exhaling as the smell was beginning to burn her nose. She looked back at the girl.
I've met a Disclameigh before. Are you related to Joseph Disclameigh? she said, trying to strike up a conversation. Joseph was one of the humans that she had fallen in love with when she was fifty five years old. He had committed suicide when he found out her secret. She couldn't save him.

Carrie's hand traveled to the back pocket of her jeans, and the other busied itself with summoning a drink. The action of using magic resulted in the familiar drain. Infinitesimal, though it was, it was there nonetheless. Her mouth quirked up in a smile of a sort. "I wouldn't know. I haven't kept up family ties in a couple hundred years," she replied nonchalantly.
The cup was brought to her lips, and the potion warmed the back of her throat. It brought with it a certain amount of contentment, one which was not matched by anything else. "So, how long have you been a vampire?" she inquired of Lulu, asking it as simply and without inhibition as though she were asking about the weather.

Lulu looked away once again. Her shoulders rose and fell in a casual "I don't know."
A couple years, maybe. Yourself? she asked. Well, that was under-exagerating(sp?). Try about seventy-four years ago. She flexed her pale, sixteen year old legs into a more comfortable position. She began drumming her fingers on the table to a non-existant beat. There was no song playing at the moment, since one has just died. A silver hoop hovered above her long brunette hair, charmed by the black wand stashed underneath her robes. Her long white wings stretched down to the ground from her back where they were charmed to attach to her skin. Being eighty years old as a witch made her pretty talented at magic, most of her spells made up by herself on her free time.
Her golden eyes wandered to the ceiling, avoiding the other vamp's. She didn't like eye-contact as it made her feel uneasy. The ceiling was very nicely decorated. Jack-o-lanterns larger than life floated around near the roof, grinning their evil laugh with fire in their eyes.
Perhaps I should have just transformed instead of making this shitty costume. she thought, looking at the others waltzing around with their partners. Then she would have an excuse for not wanting to dance with others or socialize. [/blockquote]

"A little more than that," Carrie responded vaguely, nearly blowing the question off in her aloofness. Her eyes skimmed the other vampire's costume, pretending not to discern how she averted her own gaze. "An angel?" she asked, hiding her boredom with a seemingly interested tone. "That's an interesting choice," she commented pleasantly.
Her eyes slipped away from Lulu as she too began to watch the dancers moving over the floor. How quaint they all were, cute almost. She nearly snorted to herself derisively at that. Theo Runner and his little mortal girlfriend. Pathetic, really.

Maegan saw Carrie grab her hand and turned towards her. She saw Carrie weaving her way through the crowd, nearly becoming lost within the sea of people. Maegan set down her punch and began to part the crowd, making her presence known. She was never one for remaining in the shadows, she would much rather make herself known.
She spotted Carrie across the room, talking to a rather unfamiliar girl. Maegan stepped over towards them, staring at the new girl. She held out her hand in greeting, "Hello. Who are you?"

Theo arched an eyebrow, his mouth quirked in a sort of smirk. "Tem...is there a reason you are taking refuge in my arm and neck?" he inquired of her, glancing down at the back of the top of her head.
"Hmm? Oh..." She said when she lifted her head, "Did you mind? Just felt safe doing it." She smiled at him, looking into his eyes. "Feel like cutting out?" She asked still dancing with him.

Lulu looked at Carrie. She was a very peculiar girl wasn't she? She came over here to talk to her, and now she comments on her costume. The wings fluttered a bit before she answered. It was just something that I pulled together. I just arrived here yesterday so I didn't know about this ball until then. She said. She glanced up as another girl walked up. The way she walked and acted showed that she knew Carrie already. Figures. In most schools with a population like this, everyone probably knew everybody. That would explain why attention was brought to her, she was unknown. She glanced to Carrie and then back to the girl. Hello, Who are you? she had asked, extending out her hand. Lulu grasped it briefly before letting her hand fall back to her side. Hi. I'm Lulu. Yourself? she asked the new unfamiliar face. Her eyes had turned a darker golden color since the start of the ball. She was getting hungry and would have to leave soon.

Maegan smiled at the girl in an attempt at looking friendly. The entire display was fake, she really did not care about this girl at all, but she figured this method was a bit better than demanding the girl's name and then ignoring that she existed. The Asssociation was always looking for new members. Though this girl didn't quite look like she would fit, there was still hope.
"Maegan Ryder, a pleasure to meet you," she replied, pulling her hand back. She resisted the urge to wipe it against her dress. "So, why are you at the academy?"

Lulu smiled weakly, resisting the urge to jump up and go for one of the mortal's necks. She was getting hungrier by the minute.
Pleasure. she said. In response to Maegan's previous question she answered: I was bored. I have already finished other schools that would accept....me. she finished the last part a little lamely because she did not want to call herself a vampire. It would make her feel like a monster. A hand darted toward her stomach and she clutched the skin briefly before forcing it away. She looked at Carrie. Where do you suggest that I can find some good drink? she asked her. She assumed that a creature like herself would know more where the big game was on these grounds. Sure, Lulu was a pathetic hunter, but a rabbit or two wouldn't satisfy her hunger.

Maegan smirked. The girl managed to avoid answering her question, but Maegan guessed she was a vampire. Just the look in her eye alone gave it away. She was hungry and needed to feed, it was the same look that Maegan got when she did not take her potion.
"What would you like? Water, punch, soda, blood?" Maegan asked the new girl, a smirk never leaving her face.
