Level One Astronomy is the beginner level of the course. It will meet every Friday night from 8:00-10:00 EST (1:00-3:00AM GMT). The class will normally meet indoors in the Astronomy Tower, but excursions to the grounds are not uncommon. The wan and slight professor labored under the immense weight of the decrepid tomes which he carried. Advancing on a decumbent knoll, he discarded his load with great exoneration. On top of the pile, he laid a stack of star charts. Sanjar then stooped and reclined on the grass, in wait of his students. Carelessly, he readjusted his glasses.

Zephyr skipped off towards Astronomy, in a surprisingly good mood for once. He had no idea why he was in such a good mood. In recent days, his previous euphoric attitude was almost nonexistant in the new school year. It felt good to return to an optimistic state of mind.
He saw the teacher standing alone, so he assumed that none of the other students had arrived. He took a seat on the grass near the teacher, waiting for someone interesting to arrive.

Sanjar lifted his head slightly from the ground to look at the student. Thinking that the situation called for formalities, he clambered to his feet and extended his hand. "I'll be your astronomy professor for the next year. I hope we will get along admirably. Please take a star chart and, if you haven't yet purchased one, a copy of A Beginner's Guide to the Cosmos". They're both over there," he informed Zephyr, gesturing to the stack of textbooks behind him.

Zephyr was staring back at the school, waiting for another student to head towards the class when he heard the Professor address him. He turned around to see the teacher's hand extended. He stared at it questioningly for a moment. Either the teacher was hoping to receive a handshake or he was going to use the hand to attempt to strangle Zephyr.
This teacher looked normal. A handshake seemed more of his style. Zephyr shook the professor's hand and said, "I'm Zephyr Masters." Then he stood and grabbed a copy of the textbook. He groaned at the size of the book. Apparently they were going to do work in this class. He disliked the idea of classwork.
Damien walked into the clearing, glancing behind him to see if anyone else was coming. He found himself feeling unusually paranoid. It had to be the darkness. He was not used to having classes outside in the dark. The previous astronomy teacher usually held classes in the tower. He stood there awkwardly.
